Select
the Administration menu from the toolbar.

and Users

Right-click
the Users folder.

Add
a New User
from the pop-up context menu.

Type
in the new User Name.

- from the drop-down menu, select the group that this
user is assigned to. See:

Logon
Company
- this is only relevant if you have
multiple companies
on
your system. Select the default company that Gx should open in when this
user
logs on.

Program
- enter the program name that you wish to open when
this users logs on. E.g. CRM.CONTACT.DETAILSfor the Gx CRM\
Contact Details program, PURCHASE.SUPPLIER.DETAILS for the Gx
Purchase\Supplier Details program, STOCK.SHOPPING for the Gx
Stock\Shopping program etc. Please contact support if you need assistance with
this field.

Enter
this user's Email Address.

New
Password
- enter a password for this user.
11.
Confirm
Password
- retype the password to check for errors.
12.
Tick
the check-box for Access to Administration Menu? if this user
should have access to the Administration Menu to amend users, groups, vat rates, exchange rates etc.

Tick
the check-box for Receive System Backup Messages? if this user
should receive the daily
Power-Gx backup messages.
14.
Tick the
check-box for Receive Web Integration Messages? if this user should
receive a message whenever a customer places an order on the E-commerce platform that is integrated with Power-Gx.
15.
If you tick the
check-box for Auto Select Text then on all forms in the system text will automatically be selected when you click the mouse pointer within a text box, this means that any new value typed will replace the old one. If left unticked then any old value will have to manually deleted before entering a new one.
16.
Click
the Rep Privileges tab.

Tick
the check-box in the Allow column for every rep that this user can
view information for.
18.
Click
the Email Signature tab. This tab is used to load an email signature for a user, the signature needs to be in HTML format and will be appended to any email generated for the user.
19.
At the
Email Signature prompt enter a pathname for the email signature file or alternatively use the button to browse to the file.
20.
Click the
Import Signature button to load the signature into Power Gx. Once the signature is loaded you may test it by clicking on the
Send Test Email button, this will send a email to the user's email address with the signature appended to the body of the email.

To amend an existing Power-Gx user details:
1. Select the Administration menu from the toolbar.
2. Click Groups and Users.
3. Double click Users in the list on the left of the screen to display the current
users set up for Power-Gx.
4. Double-click the user you want to amend details for.
5. Amend the data fields as required. You will need to type the existing Password in order to set a New Password.
