You can create area codes to represent the areas your customers are located
in. Areas are assigned to customers in Customer Details or Prospect Details.
They can be used in target selection e.g. if you have a rep in a specific area,
you can provide them with a list of customers or prospects with that area
code. Zones within areas can also be defined.
1. Select Gx Sales from the toolbar.
2. Hold the cursor over Options on the menu.
3. Hold the cursor over Analysis Details on the second menu.
4. Select Area Codes from the third menu.
5. Enter a two digit numeric Area Code.
6. Enter a Description for this area.
7. Enter an Abbreviation of this description.
8. Use the drop-down menu in the Delivery Via Method column to select the
default delivery method for this area. For example you might set area 99
"Beyond own van delivery area" with delivery method "Direct Delivery" so
that operators entering sales orders for customers with this area code do
not need to remember to select direct delivery for this customers orders.
