Q1:     When I try to log onto Power-Gx it gives the message "Failed to Login to POWER" and the Accuterm window says "Network connection timed out"
A:        This error can indicate that the PC is not logged onto the network, or that the workstation needs started.  You need to close this window, start the workstation services on your PC and log in again.  If you still cannot connect, you may have exceeded the maximum number of user licenses.  Ask another user to log out of Power-Gx to free a license try logging on again on your PC.  If you are still unable to open Power-Gx please contact Calidore

Q3:       When I open a new program, it takes a while for the screen to come up.
A:          The first time you open a Power-Gx program on your PC, it copies the form from the server to your PC, so it may take a while.  It then creates a cache file on your PC which enables the program to open quickly next time.

Q4:     When I try to open a program it tells me I already have the program open.
A:        Clicking on Window in the toolbar displays all the programs you have open.  Check the list and you will see this program name listed. You can select it from the menu to save opening it a second time.  If it says you already have a program open that you do not, and will not allow you to open it, this suggested it had not been closed properly when you have accessed it previously.  Logging out of Power-Gx completely and re-opening it may allow you access to the program.  If after logging back into Power-Gx, it still says you have to program open and is preventing you from accessing it, please contact Calidore.

Q6:     Can I operate Power-Gx without using my mouse?
A:        You can reduce the use of the mouse in your operation of Power-Gx by using keyboard shortcuts such as the Alt key plus the underlined letter on a command button or menu option to select it instead of clicking it with the mouse.  The Control key can also be used e.g. Ctrl + C for Copy, Ctrl + P for Paste etc.

Q8:     Why are there two Power-Gx windows in the taskbar?
A:        One of these is the program window which you work in.  The second Power-Gx window shown in the taskbar at the bottom of your screen is known as the AccuTerm window and is used by Calidore to gain access to the software for support and maintenance purposes.
