Please note the following points about the contents of this help system:
· The Contents of Power-Gx Help are arranged in the order of the main
menu options in Power-Gx e.g. Gx CRM, Gx Sales, Gx Purchases etc plus
additional chapters such as Period End, Reference, Support etc. Within
each chapter there are sub-chapters for the different functions available in
that part of the system.
·Bold text is used for program names, menu items, option names, keys or
buttons to be selected.
· Program names are written as Menu Name\Program Name for example Gx CRM\Contact Details for the Contact Details program on the CRM
menu, and Gx SOP\Print Invoices for the Invoice program on the SOP
menu.
· Numbered lists are used for the steps required to carry out a task.
· To avoid repetition within the Power-Gx Help, obvious commands, such as
saving information you entered, have not been stated in every topic. It is
assumed that you will become familiar with such commands and will not
need to be reminded about them in every help topic. You may wish to
refer to the General Buttons and Icons chapter which lists the
standard
options available in Power-Gx programs.
· If you come across any terms in Power-Gx Help that you are unsure of,
and there is no popup explanation, you can try to the Glossary in the
Reference chapter.
· The Frequently Asked Questions chapter contains some of
the more
common questions Calidore's support team receive from Power-Gx users,
together with the solution to the problem. It acts as a troubleshooter,
allowing you to identify and fix problems you are experiencing with Power-Gx. This is updated regularly to be a useful point of reference.
·Procedure Flowcharts have been added to the Reference chapter
detailing
common processes you may have to undertake such as processing a
sales order from entry to invoice, processing collection notes through to
supplier returns. Each step is detailed with links to the correct help topic
for completing each stage. This helps you navigate the system and know
what follows on from each step.
· A help topic for users of Calidore's original POWER software who have
upgraded to Power-Gx has been included in the Reference chapter. The Power to Power-Gx Name Conversions topic helps users identify
the new
names for programs they were familiar with on the original POWER
system.
