Orders with Concerning Profit

This allows you to view sales orders that are ready to be invoiced, but have product lines with profit margins that fall out with the margins you enter as acceptable.

1.   Select Gx SOP from the toolbar.
2.   Select Print Invoices from the menu
3.   Select By - choose Order Number Range or Account Code Range then enter the first and last order or account codes to be included.
4.   Invoice Type - select whether to include All Types, or only Daily (for accounts set up so that each order generates its own invoice), Weekly (for customers set to get a consolidated invoice on a weekly basis) or Monthly (for customers set up on consolidated monthly invoice).
5.   Options - click Profit Exceptions Only and set the low and high profit percentages to select only orders with product lines that fall below the low percentage or above the high percentage.
6.   Click the Include a Date Range? check-box if you only want to view orders for specific dates.  Enter the date range required.
7.   Click the Select Orders button to view the orders.  Note: the overall profit on the order may fall within the 'safe' range but if individual lines on the order are outwith this range, the order will still be flagged with a profit query.
8.   Click the Profit Exceptions button to view the product lines on these orders that are causing the low or high profit margins.  You may notice some of the prices are highlighted in red, this indicates that the product is on a Customer's Contract.
9.   Click the Print button if you require a print out of the items on the Profit Exceptions screen.
10.      You can amend prices before invoicing to correct any mistakes in the selling or cost prices of an order.
11.      Close the profit exceptions screen when you are finished reviewing it.
