The basic principles for the search are Choose Dictionary + Search Operand

The square bracket characters [ and ] used in the selection criteria are known
as wildcards. They allow you to match any characters on either side of the
brackets. For example, the post code will match NE1, NE11, NE12, NE13
etc. Multiple search dictionaries and selection criteria can be used to specify
the records retrieved to be included on the report.
1. Decide whether to run a Customer Details or Customer Transactions search,and click the required radio button.
2. If you have selected transactions, you will be given a further choice to
select which age of transactions to search on; History, Current, or Future.
3. A list of possible search dictionaries is provided. Double click the one you
wish to search on. E.g. Customer Type, Market Class etc.
4. Next choose the required operand from the buttons to the right of the
dictionary options. E.g. EQ, GT etc
5. Now type in the required Selection Criteria. This must be enclosed by
double quotes e.g. "100", "01/01/06", "Smith]".
6. Press the Ok button.
7. Add further dictionaries and selection criteria if required to build your
search in the yellow Query box.
8. Click the Select button. This displays the search results. The account
code column is automatically included.
9. You can amend the criteria to alter the search results, click the New
Select button to display the new results.
10. Click the Return Results button to enter the selected customers from
this search into the account range of the report you are running. The
search window will close, displaying your results in a popup window where
you have the option to remove any of the selected accounts if you do not
wish to include them in the report. Click the Ok button on this window
which will return you to the report screen where you can continue running
the report.
