POWER-Affinity employs a classic Windows based Server-Client Architecture, with the Database residing on a server and the client side being comprised of a user interface that is developed using Microsoft’s Visual Basic. We currently maintain and develop POWER-Affinity using mainstream development tools (Microsoft’s Visual Basic and Silverlight 4.0) that enable us to create engaging and interactive user experiences for the desktop, web, and mobile applications.
The database is Tigerlogic’s mvBase. Tigerlogic have an installed user base of over 20,000 sites comprising in excess of half a million users worldwide. The database is ideal as a single user solution and can be expanded to in excess of 1000 users. As well as being fully scalable mvBase supports Microsoft's .NET Framework and Java.
In the current ‘global’ environment, you are no longer restricted to your desk for using your back office services. With POWER-Affinity’s portals you and your customers can access ‘business critical’ information from an Internet browser anywhere on the planet. (Soon to be available on mobile devices and tablets)
