This allows you to import the latest cost prices from your suppliers. You
should have received the price file from your supplier in a csv or Excel format.
If not you must save the file in csv or tab delimited format. This file needs
saved on your PC or server where you can access it.
1. Choose Gx Stock from the toolbar.
2. Hold the cursor over Price Updates on the menu.
3. Select Supplier Price Updates on the second menu.
4. Enter the Account Code on your Purchase Ledger for the supplier whose
file you are updating. Note: this is not their account code for you.
5. Click the file browser icon next to Pathname, and navigate to the location
the supplier price file is saved in. Double-click it to enter the
pathname/filename.
6. In the options box to the right, you should enter the column Position on your suon your supplier file for each of the fields listed. In the
example below Product Code is the first column on the supplier file, Pack
Size is the second column and so on. Against the final line, you should
enter C for comma separated or T for tab delimited to indicate which
format the supplier price file is in.
7. Click the Validate button.
After scanning the file the screen displays a list of the products to be updated
with their new prices (any increase in pricing is highlighted in red and any
decrease in green), in the bottom right of the window is a button that will
allow you to toggle the display between listing the Products to be updated and
any errors that have been found. Any errors found with the
