This report can be run in a variety of ways to display customer sales analysis
figures for any period or date range. You can select the type of data analysis
to be included, for example rep, market class or area analysis. Within this you
can select further breakdown by product code or product group if this level of
detail is required on the report. You can attach ranges to fields such as
account code, rep, market class, product group etc to narrow down the
records retrieved on the report if you are looking for specific sales analysis
details. There are options to select how you want to report sorted, e.g. in
customer order, rep order etc, and how you want it sequenced, e.g. in
ascending or descending order. The report can be limited to a 'top' number of
records. You can choose to include or omit cost of sales and profit columns
depending on whether the report is to be viewed by the customer.
1. Choose Gx SOP from the toolbar.
2. Select Reports on the menu.
3. Double-click Customer Sales Analysis from the list of reports.
4. Select from the Report on Sales By options to choose how you want the
customer sales analysis information displayed, e.g. by customer, rep,
market class etc.
5. Next select the level of detail you want to show on the report, i.e.
including product group, product code breakdown etc. Select the
required radio button from the second set of options.
6. Select the Period No to report on or enter a Date Range.
7. Tick the check-box if you want to Include YTD figures.
8. Tick the check-box if you want to Include Cost of Sales.
9. Click the Selection Criteria button to enter specific ranges you want to
include on the report, e.g. account ranges, product range, rep range etc.
The ranges available will be dependant on the report type and detail
selections you have made. Click Ok to save your ranges.
10. Click the Sort Options button to chose how you want the selected data
to be displayed in the report. Click Ok to save your sort options.
11. If available, tick the check-box if you want to include Contract
Customers Only,Contract Products Only or Non Contract Products Only.
12. Click the Print button.
13. Select where you want to send the report output to from the Send To
options.(more info).
If you selected Contract Products Only in the options you will be
prompted to include products with no sales value for the
reporting period. This enables you to analyse which products are selling
or not selling on a Customer's Contract.
14. Click Ok.

Report Checks: the total sales value this period for all accounts on Sales
Analysis reports should equal the turnover MTD for this month displayed in
the Debtors Position Enquiry.
